1998-99 Oran Basketball Team

Don't we look so enthused?

This page is a tribute to the 98-99 Oran High School Girl's Basketball team and their coach. On this page you will find pictures of the team, and pictures of the individual players. I have to admit, this page won't be as good as it could have been if I hadn't procrastinated. I guess Maria is rubbing off on me. Although, the idea for this page was suggested by her, the great almighty, Mia. Okay. Enough talking. Let's get this thing started.

The team last year consisted of eight lovely young ladies. They accomplished many things while improving upon the previous years' records. The team finished at the 500 mark. They were led by, Junior, Sara Heisserer and Sophomore, Stacey Eftink.

Memories

The team shared many memories, including the infamous Bertha and Ethel at Delta. Others include the 6:30 am practices and their morning plyometrics. (I bet you guys didn't know us short people can get rim!) Heisserer would hurt me if I forgot to mention the part about Miss Little. Watch the kicking Sara!

Coach Sellers

Many memories were also associated with Coach Thomas Sellers. I don't know if it was because it was 7:00 am and our eyes and ears just weren't functioning properly yet or if it was because he just couldn't dance or sing, but his morning songs and dancing will forever be stuck in our memories. That may not be a good thing. (just joking) I guess the thing that sticks out most would have to be the clipboards. After the second clipboard was broken, the players learned to move back when they got him in a bad mood during the game. Oh, I almost forgot. We still don't believe he played football. His chicken legs sure don't help him prove his case.
